Our house had been on the market for about two months. We had spent several hundred dollars advertising in the local paper to little avail. We had had lots of visitors, mostly drive-bys who had come to look at other houses in our park. But we had not one nibble when I put it on MOBILEHOME.NET. Within two weeks, we had five e-mail inquiries. Three were serious, but one dropped out saying it was more than they wanted to spend. The other two, a couple from Buffalo, New York and one from nearby called and asked a lot of questions. I sent more pictures and more information via e-mail. The local couple had been to our park before and had seen a similar model and knew they wanted it and knew they wanted to be on the lake. They made an offer that day for $3000 under our asking price. They were ready to write a check for a substantial down payment ( Not Deposit ) that day, but we felt that ethically, we needed to talk to the couple from Buffalo, because they had made plans to drive all the way to Florida to see our house! They came to see it four days later and after hearing the other offer, offered us our asking price! ($101,000)  The first couple had asked for first right of refusal, so we had to call them back. They decided not to go on with the bidding. So we are in the final stages of the sale with the couple from New York, having had an inspection today. We hope to finish all tomorrow and they need to get back to New York by the weekend!! None of this could have been possible if it were not for your wonderful website and the convenience of e-mail. They said that our advertisement offered so much information there was hardly anything to ponder. They were quite sure that they would buy it even before they came – otherwise why drive 1,100 miles twice for less than a week’s stay? They did look around at several other places, but they knew they wanted ours.

We also have a suggestion: On our “FOR SALE” sign out front, we put “See info on door.” On the door, we hung a large plastic bag with copies of our advertising pages from MOBILEHOME.NET with the photos, etc. That way people who were just driving through the neighborhood had all of the information about the house at their fingertips. We also put a note on the door saying people could ring the bell to come in if we were there, or to walk around back to see the porch, patio and view if we were not home. We had almost one couple per day come to see our home. There are many people who hear about a particular park and drive around to see what might be available. This way pulled them in to actually come and look.

I am emailing to tell you the mobile home I listed in the Arizona section has been rented to purchase.  I have to comment and say, I had 3 realtors list the home for over a year with no results. I found you on the internet and sent you my photos and information, quick reply and exchange of information and my mom was listed. I have had calls from all over the United States and Canada interested in the home.  So thanks for the site and ease with which prospective buyers can browse the site.

I have my own thoughts on what makes an excellent web-site and yours qualifies. I think my opinion is validated by the many inquiries I received which is indicative of a huge audience you've obviously achieved by lots of good old fashioned hard work. 

I certainly will use your services again when needed. I was actually amazed when on the very first day my first inquiry was from Alaska!  Unfortunately two big dogs would not fit well in the park here. I also received an inquiry from a lady apparently in England.

My request is to tell you what a great job your website is doing. We bought our unit from a man that had it advertised on your site.

That was 8 months ago. Four people have come up to us and told us they are here in this park because they saw our place on-line. It was sold so they looked around and got something else here in the park instead.

I had someone call me from the gate this afternoon and say that they had seen our house on-line and would like to come see it. I told them that the previous owner had listed it and it was no longer for sale. They were very disappointed and just a little angry.

The previous owner, Jim Mosher, died the day before we were to have settlement on this place and I guess his heirs didn't know about the website.
